GARP FRM Frequently Asked Questions – Part 3

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Introduction

Hi everyone, in this post we will continue to address those questions frequently asked by students and candidates in the GARP course.

If you would like to read part 1, please click here.

Using the designation

It must be especially noted that candidates should only use the FRM title once they have been duly certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

We remind candidates that the relevant work experience must be submitted within 5 years of passing level 2.

If the guidelines are not adhered to, then candidates will be asked to re-enroll for the course, pay all fees and pass both levels again.

How to enroll

If you are interested in becoming a Financial Risk Manager or simply would like to better understand this area of finance, then contact GARP today.

We believe that there is a lot of value to this certification and you will be much better off with it.

Test location moving

There are instances where GARP would need to change the location of a test site.

For example, any situation that may put candidates in danger will trigger specific changes. One may consider events such as natural disasters, political instability or man-made disasters.

In these situations, the governing body will do its best to quickly communicate to the candidates any change necessary as well as the new test dates and locations.

Depending on the circumstances, they may also introduce new options to help students along the way.

Nevertheless, a change in test location may be necessary by an individual candidate’s need. This may be done by accessing the online portal and selecting the ‘my-programs’ option then selecting the ‘change-your-exam-site’ option.

Examination transfers

Please note that the governing body will not allow any candidate to transfer their registration to another candidate.

This holds true regardless of enrollment status or payment status.
